I love Etsy! Unfortunately I have only bought through Etsy a few times… Dental school isn’t cheap! When you are on a budget some many things you have to make yourself – especially when it comes to a budget wedding. Good thing shabby chic and DIY weddings are totally in!
This DIY Guest Book Pen was so beautiful and easy to make I decided to make two of them for our wedding. Plus, it is always good to have a backup just in case the first one stops working or if two people decide to sign at the same time.
This DIY Guest Book Pen is simple to make, inexpensive, and will look absolutely darling at your wedding! Did I mention I still use mine?
What you’ll need:
Pens – my pens came in a set probably from Joann or Hobby Lobby
Twine
Hot Glue Gun with Glue
Scissors
Flower – I think I bought my flower at Joann
Button
Needle – optional
Thread – optional
First, wrap the twine around your pen starting at the bottom and working your way up – glueing as you go.
Next, attach the button to the middle of the flower. I did this with a needle and thread but you could always just hot glue it in place.
Hot glue the flower to the top of your pen, let dry, and repeat as you see fit – and I would definitely recommend making at least 2 DIY Guest Book Pens!
