A little life lately to share with you a few pictures from my husband’s dental school graduation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Eek! I’m so excited!!
The day we have been looking forward to for 4 years has arrived! Although if we are honest we have been eagerly awaiting this day for 5 years, since the day he received his blessing of a DAT score.
The journey has been long & hard, but I couldn’t be any prouder of the man he has become over these last several years!
The ceremony was short & sweet. And it was a lovely surprise to discover that the President of the American Dental Association Dr. Carol Summerhays was the speaker. I completely understand why the Girl Scouts named her on their list of “Cool Women.”
After the lovely little ceremony the family gathered outside to take a few pictures. A few photos were taken on iPhones, the majority here were taken on my Canon, but none can capture the pure bliss of this day.
This might be my favorite picture. You can see the joy on Roger’s grandfather’s face as he sees his grandson become a dentist, following in his own footsteps.
We couldn’t have done it with out these two! Their support, encouragement, & prayers brought us to & through dental school & we are striving each day to be more like this beautiful God-fearing couple.
My sweet family came home early from their vacation to celebrate this wonderful event! What a blessing to have them all here. It really will be a day we never forget!
I had to include this picture because it so perfectly captures the look I give Roger all the time. Although the only reason I gave it to him today is because his tassel kept hitting me in the face. Ironically it was the only piece of this ensemble that he got to keep!
And while we are crazy excited about this next stage of life we will always remember & praise God for the guidance, life lessons, & memories that we made during our 4 years of dental school in Birmingham.
I’d love to hear from you!
