These Patriotic Fruit Skewers are a naturally sweet addition to all of your summer parties & get togethers!
As you know we are officially back home in Tennessee after four years of dental school. But what you might not know (unless you follow me on Snapchat) is that we are playing gypsies for a month until we close on our first house in July.
Our lovely families have been so sweet to allow us to house hop each week, it also means we are living out of suitcases & everything I wear is wrinklier than an old pug. So if you see me out & about please don’t judge my crazy looking attire!
This week we are staying at my in-laws cabin on the river. I usually wake up earlier than Rog & I’ve loved waking up to the glistening water & the gorgeous greenery that surrounds their cabin.
This also means that I have very limited internet availability this week. The cabin doesn’t have any internet, so I have been stealing quick moments of internet here & there at my in-laws house, as much as I can, so that I can keep up with everything.
And at this moment I’m not sure where we will be next week, but it’s going to be a fun adventure!
I hid away a few odds & ends of what I consider to be blogging necessities so that the movers wouldn’t pack them & I brought them up to my parents house so that I can still photograph recipes throughout the summer.
After creating the Fresh Watermelon Cupcakes & Watermelon Ice I wasn’t planning on creating many more watermelon recipes this summer. I had one more in mind that I created at the same time as the two above, but I never got around to photographing & sharing it with you.
But then this last weekend I bought a new watermelon & created these Fresh Mozzarella Watermelon Salads & I had some leftover watermelon & I decided to create these Patriotic Fruit Skewers!
You can enjoy your Patriotic Fruit Skewers anytime you want this summer, but they are extra fun for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, or any other special holiday or occasion (like the summer olympics) that need a special touch of Red, White, & Blue!
Plus you can easily make this recipe ahead of time, or at least cut & prep the fruit ahead of time, to make this a super easy last minute put together recipe for your special event!
- Fresh Coconut
- First wash & cut your fruit.
- Then simply skewer your fruit into a red, white, & blue pattern!
I’d love to see hear how you plan to enjoy your Patriotic Fruit Skewers this summer!
