1. Football Drinks
Use glass jars, dark colored soda, & white tape to create football drinks. You can even have your guests write their name on the tape with markers so they don’t lose their cup.
I picked up a couple of soda’s from Save-A-Lot on Lee Highway in Chattanooga as I was heading to the checkout with my fresh produce & game day snacks.
2. Quick Snacks
Fill brown paper bags with popcorn & pretzels for your guests to grab throughout the game. This is also great for anyone who has the pre-game munchies.
You can find a variety of popcorn, pretzel, & nut varieties at Save-A-Lot.
3. Comfort Finger Food
While there is nothing footbally (yes, I’m making this a real word) about this recipe tip, you really can’t go wrong with Macaroni & Cheese! These are easy to grab & are great for both kids & adults alike!
To create things Bite Size Macaroni & Cheese Cups I picked up a box mix of macaroni & cheese from Save-A-Lot & cooked the noodles according to the packaging instructions. I then let it cool & in a small bowl whisked 1 egg with the cheese mixture that came in the box. Once the macaroni & cheese cooled I mixed in the cheesy egg mixture, divided it up into muffin tins (sprayed with oil), & baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes until golden.
4. Hearty Football Potato Wedges
These sliced potato football wedges are easy to create, absolutely adorable, & a delicious savory treat.
First I washed & sliced the potatoes. Then I baked them in the oven, on a baking sheet lined with foil & sprayed with oil, at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes until golden & tender. Then I added some sprinkle cheese & put it back in the warm (but turned off oven) until the cheese melted. Once cooled I piped on the sour cream to create the football lace on top. You can find everything you need for this recipe at a great low price at Save-A-Lot.
5. Easy Football Dessert
This is a great last minute Super Bowl dessert recipe.
Simply pick up a box of brownie mix & a tub of frosting at Save-A-Lot. Bake the brownies according to their packaging instructions. Let cool, cut into football shapes, & pipe white icing on top to create the football lace.
