I am happy to say that I am super happy with how April went for Domestically Blissful. In March’s traffic & income report I mentioned that I only posted 11 times in March & I just checked April’s archives to find that I posted 5 more times last month for a total of 16 posts!
Top 5 April posts:
I’m thinking that 15-20 posts a months is going to be my new goal. I’m also trying a new schedule for when I post. I use to try to share recipes on Tuesday & Thursday, crafts/DIY on Monday & Friday, & a written/more personal post on Wednesday. But having all the posts in a row is a lot & never really happened. Plus the idea of 5 days of posts in a row was so overwhelming I think it has caused me to post less. So I am going to try a new tactic. Sunday (random day), Monday (recipe day), Wednesday (wordy day), & Thursday (craft/DIY day) are going to be my new goals.
Starting today of course, since I already missed Sunday & Monday.
Any who! Now onto April’s Traffic and Income Report
Even though I posted more this month I did notice that my views for April were less than those of March. However, I did notice that by the end of the month my daily views were beginning to increase again.
In the past the majority of my views were coming from other sites – like Foodgawker, Hometalk, CraftGossip & many more). And while I love having new people visit my blog, it takes a lot of work & time to continually get views this way & I don’t want to be forever dependent on these sites for views. This is one of the big reasons I have been trying to grow my social media accounts, in order to grow the number of followers I have coming back on a continual basis.
When I become a mother (someday hopefully soon) I know I won’t have the time to submit my blog posts to the countless number of sites I do right now. So I am hoping that if I can ween myself off of dependency on these sites for the majority of my views, & grow my views from the connections I make in social media, my blog won’t take a huge hit once we move & start a family.
I’m crossing my fingers that the reason my views are starting to go back up again is a direct result of my growing social media accounts.
April Social Media Approximate Numbers:
As you can see, my Pinterest & Twitter accounts have some catching up to do, so hopefully May’s report will show some improvement in those areas. Although I definitely don’t have any unrealistic expectations since those are the areas I struggle with the most.

Do you see my new income sources?
I’m so excited I was reaccepted into the BlogHer Influencer Network. For those of you who are new, awhile back I stopped getting invitations to new influencer programs, after a month or two of no new invitations I realized that for some random reason my social media accounts had become unconnected & I had to resubmit them for approval. Weird right? Luckily I have been reaccepted & have just finished my newest campaign.
Also I am finally starting to make some money through VigLink! I am so excited. I have been using VigLink for awhile now, but some of my recent posts about Etsy have made a buzz! Now that I’m starting to earn some money through VigLink I think it’s time I see what’s new & what I can do to encourage it’s growth!
Have any suggestions? I’d love to hear your advice! Got questions? I’d love to answer them or maybe even turn a specific question you have into a blog post!
Until next time!
With love, G
