Last Thursday night I made these mouth watering Baked Granola Peaches for a late night snack. Although technically it was my supper and to be honest I ate it with vanilla ice cream making it more of a dessert, but that is what is so great about these Baked Granola Peaches! You can easily eat them for breakfast guilt free or you can add a little ice cream for dessert!
Another one of my favorite things about these Baked Granola Peaches is that you only need 3 ingredients! Seriously what’s better than a quick and simple breakfast – or dessert – that can be prepared in minutes, with minimum cleanup, that results in a beautiful masterpiece of flavor!
This is one of those desserts – or breakfasts – that is so homey and makes you feel all warm and happy inside.
As you can tell I really love these Baked Granola Peaches!!!
Ingredients:
Peach(es)
Honey – Alternatives for vegans – brown sugar, white sugar, or just keep it naturally sweet!
Granola – No granola? Have an allergy? Instead you could try dried berries or nuts on top!
PS. Hopefully this fall I will get to share a granola recipe with you!
First, preheat your oven to 350°, then wash and cut your peach or peaches in half removing the seed.
Place the peaches in a baking dish and drizzle the honey over the inside of the peach. The amount of honey depends on the size of the peach – or if it’s allergy season – but usually I will use a tablespoon of honey for both halves of one peach. Yes I like things sweet and I like having the excuse that I need the local honey for my allergies!
Next, heap the granola onto the peaches. I usually do a little over 1/4 up a cup per peach, but this will also depend on the size of your peach. Just add to your liking or until it is falling off the sides more than it is staying on top of the peach.
Bake the Baked Granola Peaches for 20 minutes. For the first 10 minutes leave it uncovered, but for the last 10 minutes place a piece of foil loosely on top to prevent the granola from burning allowing the peach to continue baking.
Let cool slightly and enjoy with some greek yogurt for breakfast or vanilla ice cream for dessert!
