A little tour of our Bedroom Christmas Decor with neutrals and grays for calm Christmasy nights.
When the girls came to stay with us we realized just how important it is for us to have our own space that is extra cozy.
At the end of last year, when I was making out my blog posting schedule, I penciled in to decorate our bedroom the first week of November.
So at the beginning of October, I slowly started to order what we needed for an extra cozy Christmasy room.
This is the first year time that I have decorated our bedroom for Christmas and I wanted it to be simple and cozy.
I didn’t want the room to be overwhelmed by Christmas decor or bright colors so that it would continue to be a relaxing environment to sleep in at night.
Area Rug | Upholstered Bench | Beaded Tray | Vintage Ornaments | Snowflake Pillow | Ruffled Duvet Cover | Grey Throw Blanket | Merry Christmas Pillow | Grey Ruffled Pillowcases | Upholstered Bed | Flocked Garland | Picture Frames | Christmas Quote Prints | Set of 2 Lamps | Nightstands | Christmas Barn | Curtain Rods | Room Darkening Curtains | Upholstered Arm Chair | Merry & Bright Pillow | Gold Bells | Flocked Christmas Tree
Prior to October we had yet to finish furnishing or decorating our bedroom.
It had never been a big priority for us, so I knew I needed to start early if I wanted to have the whole room decorated by the end of the first week of November.
Our first purchase for this room was the light grey/ivory area rug.
We had been looking at rugs for over a year and when we saw this one we knew we had finally found just the right one for our room.
Once the rug arrived I began searching for something for above our bed.
I knew I wanted to have a Christmas quote above the bed, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted one long artwork or a set of three.
As I began searching Etsy for a beautiful print, I came across this set of 3 “Silent Night Holy Night All is Calm All is Bright” print and I fell in love with the font!
I messaged the Etsy creator and asked if I could order them in a 16×20 print size which I then printed at Walmart in matte.
Next, I ordered these grey picture frames and then got to work flocking our Christmas tree.
One more thing that we needed to finish our room was a duvet cover.
I fell in love with this one, that was on sale, but when it arrived it was way more yellow/cream than white.
We almost kept it because it was so soft, but in the end, we decided to return it for something more white.
Next, we ordered this one, which was $40 less. And while it was white as we had wanted, it wasn’t very soft.
So I ordered one more and hoped for the best.
This 3rd one was both soft, white, and 3 times cheaper than the original one that we ordered!
I then added flocked garland (I layered two for both our bed and the fireplace for a fuller appearance), cozy Christmas pillows, and a few Christmas accessories.
And with that our bedroom is complete!
Now we get to begin the day and end the day with Christmas!
