It’s wedding season & love is in the air!
I’ve written about love & marriage many times in the past. And I’ve written about love & marriage so much I am quite surprised that I haven’t shared a post filled with Bible quotes on marriage! Love
“‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18 NIV – Love your spouse as yourself.
Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. Deuteronomy 11:1 NIV – God first, spouse second. Through love & submission to Him your spouse will be truly loved by you, because through Him we learn the meaning of selflesness. And true love is selfless.
So be very careful to love the Lord your God. Joshua 23:11 NIV

Colossians 3:13-19

And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. 1 John 4:16-21
This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 1 John 5:2 NIV

Hosea – This is a wonderful story about love & marriage. My husband & I read a beautiful novel based off of this book of the Bible during our first year of marriage that really helped us understand God’s love & how we should love each other. This summer was our 5 year anniversary & we are reading the book again together. If you are interested in learning more I wrote a review about this book a few years ago that you can read here.
