It’s that wonderful time of year! Even though I have been sharing Christmas crafts & ideas for a month now it never officially feels like Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Although truth be told after Thanksgiving Roger & I aren’t able to do too many Christmasy things together until he is finished with finals. Even still we have lots of Christmas traditions & this year will be filled with merry & good cheer.
One of my favorite Christmas traditions I shared with you last night on Instagram. And while I know reading Pride & Prejudice might not sound like a traditional Christmas tradition it has been one of mine for many years. Even though this is an untraditional Christmas tradition I will always look forward to reading my favorite book under the twinkling lights of our Christmas tree.
When we were dating we use to go see The Polar Express every Christmas at the IMAX in downtown Chattanooga. For now – at least until we move back – we have continued this special tradition by watching it at home with a warm cup of hot chocolate & popcorn. Another movie tradition we have is watching Home Alone everything Thanksgiving night!
Usually we wait until after Thanksgiving to get our Christmas tree but this year we decided to get it the first day the trees became available at Lowes. We then bring our beauty of a tree home, listen to Christmas music, & deck the halls!
I’d love to see some of your Christmas traditions! Follow along on Instagram to see more of our traditions & tag yours with the hashtag #DomesticallyBlissful for a chance to be featured on DB’s Instagram!
