Give your indoor garden pots something to dream about with these DIY Dreamy Herb Garden Pots!
I can’t believe it is almost spring! Which means it is time for attempt number 597 for growing herbs! I use to be so good at keeping plants alive before I got married, but for some reason I have killed almost every plant I have had since the summer of 2012. This time I am hoping that my dreams of keeping my herbs alive will come true since they are in these Dreamy Herb Garden Pots!
Is it just me or do you think these pots are dreamy too? I feel like I’m looking at beautiful wisps of summer clouds when I look at these garden pots. Or maybe winter has just droned on for so long I am imagining things…
While I loved my Painted Lace Pots from last year, I really do think I love these more. They are so light & airy, how could anything not flourish in such sweetly soft garden pots?
Materials:
Terra-Cotta Pots
Small Bowl
Paint Brush
White Paint
Water
Cloth or Rag
I simply poured a little bit of paint into my bowl with some water, brushed the paint onto my garden pots & immediately wipe it away with my cloth. The amount of water to paint is up to you, I changed it as I went & tested it on the bottom of the pot. Sometimes I used mostly paint with just a little bit of water, while other times I used a heavily watered down white paint.
I used the paint I had on hand, which was a sample of Valspar Satin Ultra White, but you could use whatever you have laying around your home. Why spend more money when you can use what you already have!
Once your Dreamy Herb Garden Pots have dried, fill with your favorite herbs, & try to keep them alive!
