Several weeks ago I collected sticks from my parents house – since apartment living means there aren’t a lot of available sticks laying around – in anticipation for lots of fun DIY projects. Today I finally got around to getting some good use out of them by making these adorable Fall Candle Holders. The best part about these Fall Candle Holders is that you can reuse glass candle holders that you would normally have thrown away after having burned all of the wax!
For this first little candle holder I broke apart the sticks and hot glued them directly to a used glass candle holder. I then wrapped twine and string directly over the middle of the candle holder to cover up the line of glue.
For this mini candle holder I also reused a previously used glass candle holder whose candle had been used up. Before I attached the string and sticks I put down a layer of dark fringed burlap ribbon to give it another color and texture.
For this larger candle holder I wrapped it with a lighter and larger burlap ribbon, attached the sticks with hot glue, and then wrapped it with raffia to cover any of the glue that could be seen between the sticks.
That’s it, it is really that simple! Now all you have to do is drop a candle into your new Fall Candle Holder and find a place to display it in your home!
If you have any extra pieces of sticks that were too small for your Fall Candle Holders you can use them for this DIY Mini Pumpkin Patch project.
