Fall home tour sharing all of the details of our fall decor this year.
Autumn has officially FALLen upon our home!
When I began decorating in August I wasn’t exactly sure what color scheme I wanted to go with this year.
In last year’s fall home tour, I had a different color scheme in our living room than I did in our kitchen.
One was more classic with the bright oranges and reds that are more traditional for fall and the other was more neutral with lots of whites and eucalyptus greens.
This year I decided to do things totally different, while still incorporating all of my fall decor from last year and I am so happy with how it turned out!

I decided to keep things more neutral than classic, this year, but since our home is already so white I wanted to make sure I added in some color.
So I decided to continue with my subtle pink theme from last Christmas while adding in more pastel fall colors.
But to make it feel more like fall I chose pink florals that had a hint of orange in them so that it held more of a fall pink tone.
The flowers are almost a peachy color, but they definitely look more fall than spring or summer, especially with the addition of various sized pumpkins.
I also incorporated some more classic fall colors into different areas of our home, specifically our entry and mudroom.
But for the most part, I stuck with the pastel fall color scheme throughout our home.
While I love the natural fall orange and red colors, I’m loving the more pastel fall color scheme we have throughout our home this year.
And I have a feeling I have finally found my go-to color scheme for future fall seasons.
I struggled the most with decorating our kitchen.
Originally I had the fall garland that is now hanging on the mirror in our mudroom on top of our stove hood (you can see what it looked like here).
For weeks I didn’t get any further in decorating our kitchen for the fall season.
Just this one area in our kitchen felt cluttered and overwhelming leaving me uninspired to decorate the rest of this space.
Finally, I took it all down, removed pretty much everything from our countertops and island so that I could start fresh with a clean and empty kitchen.
And the final fall result turned out better than I had hoped!
Small Ceramic Pot | Purple Mum & Rose Stems | Cream Pumpkin | Large Wood Cheeseboard | Brown Cheeseboard | Round Cheeseboard | Willow Basket | Faux Green Apples | Utensil Crock | Small Cheese Board | Salt/Pepper Glass Jar | White Ceramic Pitcher | Cream Hydrangea & Peony Stems | Upholstered Bar Stools | Island Chandeliers | Farmhouse Sink | Soap Dispenser | Touch Faucet | Runner | Refrigerator | White & Gray Ceramic Pot | Green Lamb’s Ear | Mixed Wheat & Leaf Stems | Paper Towel Holder | Grey Napkin | Alexa Echo
PS. You can download a free copy of the fall sign above our kitchen hood at the bottom of this post.
I love the simplicity of the fall decor in our kitchen.
Often if there is too much decor or clutter in any given room I have a hard time getting things done.
When I’m cooking and baking for my blog I really need there to be plenty of space to get creatively messy.
These simple fall kitchen decorations, with little hints of fall pastel colors, really help transition the fall decor of our living space into our eating space.
And now I can finally sit back and watch summer fade into fall in the woods around home.
I hope enjoyed this little fall home tour!
