A fall home tour with a classic fall living room color scheme & a neutral fall kitchen with eucalyptus & white pumpkins.
I’m so excited that our home is finally decorated for fall!
Before I started I decided I wanted to create a little video time-lapse of decorating our home for fall.
And while the first clip of the video is slightly crooked (oops!) I had a lot of fun creating the video for you.
I started with a classic fall color scheme in our living room with lots of reds, oranges, and browns.
As we haven’t started building the built-ins yet I focused all of my attention on decorating the fireplace.
I layered two garlands on the mantel (one of which lights up!) and added a mixture of faux leaves (the garland) and real lives (in the vase) to this space.
And that cute little metal art sign says “Live each day with a grateful heart.”
Oh and for those who have been messaging me about the mirror, I have a whole post dedicated to oversized mirrors that are great for mantels or setting on the ground that you can read here.
My goal is to move this side table from our entry to between our living room couches by Christmas time and to get a bench or settee for this space in the new year.
But for now, it will continue to sit in our entry.
So I kept it simple with a couple of pumpkins, a vase with real leaves, and this free printable quote that says “You are the pick of the patch.”
And since this space is open to the living room I made sure that the color scheme matched with lots of oranges and a hint of red.
The breakfast bar up top was my attempt at transitioning the classic fall color scheme of the living area into more of a neutral fall color scheme in the kitchen.
I found this beautiful eucalyptus garland for the kitchen hood and added some mini faux (& 1 real) pumpkins to give it more of an autumn look.
And even though I already created 6 free fall printables this year, I decided to create one more in a 16X20 inch format that says “In all things give thanks 1 Thessalonians 5:18.”
I love that this Bible quote is great for year-round, but I’ll probably swap it for a Christmas one in November and then pull it back out again sometime next year.
But just in case you want to print off this quote for your home you can find the free printable at the bottom of this post.
I hope this fall home tour inspires you as you begin decorating your home for fall!
