These Frozen Baked S’mores can be made last minute or ahead of time and left in the freezer to be enjoyed anytime as a way to cool off in the summer sun!
Summertime is just around the corner! And while I am super excited about summer I have absolutely no idea where I will be living in July. It could be north west Georgia or south east Tennessee, either way we will be living less than 30 minutes from Chattanooga!
The problem is that every time we find a house that we love we discover that the listing is old or it immediately sells.
I don’t get it?
People keep saying that it means that house “wasn’t meant to be,” but my goodness it’s starting to feel like every house isn’t meant to be!
Another problem is that my heart can only love one house at a time. So when I do find a house that I love my heart & soul immediately moves into that house. I pour over the pictures until the layout is engrained into my mind & then I start a secret Pinterest board where I collect ideas of how I am going to update or decorate my beloved house.
Then 24, 48, or 72 hours later I discover I must let go of my dreams.
You’d think I’d learn my lesson, but no I haven’t.
So then I immediately spend hours pouring over Zillow, Trulia, & Realtor until I can find a rebound house that I love more than the house before.
Maybe I shouldn’t be sharing how deeply quirky I have become when it comes to house hunting… But believe me when I say that I am not sharing the worst of my crazy quirky house hunting habits.
One of the things we are really looking forward too, no matter what house we eventually land on, is creating a gorgeous outdoor living space complete with a fire pit or fireplace. We love the idea of entertaining outside & more importantly eating outside.
For months we have been talking about how one of the first projects we need to tackle when we buy our first home is to create this outdoor space so we can get cooking & make S’mores this fall.
But I am a super impatient person & I don’t want to wait an unknown amount of time for S’mores. And I especially don’t want to wait till the fall for one of my favorite treats!
Therefore I decided to create Frozen Baked S’mores so that I can enjoy my favorite fall treat all year round & not have to be dependent on a fire pit. You don’t always need a campfire to make S’mores!
I headed over to Walmart & they have this adorable S’mores display right there in the main aisle to get you excited about making S’mores this spring & summer.
And since it gets crazy hot down here in the south come mid to late spring I thought that a nice chilly S’mores would be a delicious way to cool off anytime in the bright happy sun.
One of my favorite things about this quick Frozen Baked S’mores recipe is that you can make them anytime & have them in the freezer for whenever you need a yummy cold dessert!
I can’t wait to move back to our hometown & have a container full of Frozen Baked S’mores ready to be enjoyed for my nieces & nephews whenever they come over!
These Frozen Baked S’mores are super easy to make & can be made in less than 10 minutes! You just bake the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars (sold in 6pk at Walmart) & Kraft’s Jet Puffed Marshmallows on top of Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares (exclusively at Walmart), put the two sides together, & chill them in the freezer until you are ready to enjoy them! (ps. See below for the full recipe/tutorial)
Of course you can always add little additions to make your Frozen Baked S’mores uniquely yours.
You could add peanut butter, hazelnut spread, or even fresh berries!
Now any day can be a S’mores day!
I love that these Frozen Baked S’mores are a quick & easy solution & can be enjoyed year round for any number of parties, weeknight meals, get togethers, events, or just a nice way to cool down on a hot day!
