Healthy Breakfast Bars




  1. First, preheat your oven to 350 cream the butter and the brown sugar together with a hand blender. Then blend in the 2 eggs, one at a time, and add the 1 teaspoon vanilla and 3 tablespoons of milk.
  2. Next, sift in 1 cup of flour, and stir in ½ cup wheat germ, 1 ½ cups quick oatmeal, ½ cup walnuts, ½ cup dried cranberries, and ½ cup chocolate chips.
  3. Finally, spread out the mix onto a greased cookie sheet so that it is about ½ inch thick and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. My cookie sheet was a little too big so I didn’t spread it across the whole pan. I worried it might spread out while it baked but luckily it didn’t!
  4. Once baked and cooled cut into bars or squares – or whatever your favorite shape is – and enjoy!
