Hello everyone!
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Life Lately & I feel like just one Life Lately post for the whole summer would not do summer 2015 justice! So today I’m just going to share with you a few of the several thousand pictures I took during our Florida Keys Vacation back in June.
And on a side note…
If you haven’t heard, I joined Periscope! I plan on writing a blog post about it in the next week or two, but until then if you would like to join my morning Bible study feel free to follow along. I’d love to have you! I will also be tweeting reminders on Twitter before I go live.
You can find me on Periscope @BlissfulMiller.
Now back to our Florida Keys Vacation.
One of the Miller family’s favorite places to snorkel.
Unfortunately there was a shark eating something when we arrived that made us a little leery.
So I snapped a few pictures & we left…
This was the first time I attempted to take photos of people.
Of course I have taken pictures of my family before, but always on a casual level & not in the sense of taking family pictures.
So it was very interesting not being able to pose people the way I do inanimate objects like food.
Also I should note I was the secondary photographer.
So if my angle looks a little weird or the people are looking the other way that’s because my sister Chas was the main photographer.
I just really wanted some experience & she was so sweet to let me tag along.
Isn’t baby Willow the cutest? I can’t believe how big she is getting!
It feels like just yesterday we were having her baby shower!
I just love this place so much…
I’m still working on learning how to edit skin tones & outdoor lighting.
Lightroom is filled with so many secret treasures that I am still exploring & discovering!
My sweet little niece who is back in Africa now.
We had so much fun together this summer!
Don’t you just love baby feet?
ps. You should really see for yourself the beautiful handmade custom dolls my sister Michelle makes to help support their family in Africa
Michelle was so sweet to snap this picture of us!
I love him so much…
Happiness at its purist!
I loved the picture I took on Instagram so much I had to take one on my camera too.
Although I think I like the Instagram boat picture better.
I love the closeness of the ocean life.
I even had a spontaneous opportunity to swim with a sea turtle in it’s natural element!
So fun!
We were snorkeling out at a reef on our boat day & I looked down & there it was!
Bucket list item checked off!
Can you tell by all my “!” how excited I was?!
My sisters even had a rare encounter & were able to paddle board with a family of dolphins!
Although I think my niece & nephew had a grand ol’ time simply rafting around in their little floaty.
Don’t I have the cutest nieces & nephews?
My little birthday twin has such a sweet countenance.
If you haven’t noticed, I love my family so much!!
Seriously, what’s not to love about this little face?!
My sister Chas & her husband paddle boarding into the sunset.
Don’t forget to come back next Tuesday to see a new Life Lately with a few pictures from our Ohio family trip & some miscellaneous photos from our summer. I’ll also be letting you in on a few secrets, like what we have planned for over the next (& final) school year, along with our moving plans!
Oh & if you didn’t see yesterday’s new post you might want to head over there now, because 30 minutes from reading this you could be enjoying some Lazy Blueberry Sweet Rolls!
I’d love to stay connected in a more personal way! You can find me & Domestically Blissful on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & Pinterest!
With love, G
