I am ashamed to say that I only posted 11 times during the month of March. Please forgive my absence. I promise I will post at least 4 times a week this month & finally post all of the details about our 5 day Disney World vacation (with lots of tips & advice) tomorrow morning. I have no real excuse for not posting too often (other than spring break) & as you can see by the traffic statistics below it definitely had an effect on my views. However, even though my views have decreased due to less posting, I have spent a little bit of time growing my Facebook account this month. And when I say a little bit of time I mean A LOT of time.
At the beginning of the year I mentioned that I needed to & am working on growing my social media accounts. While I have completely stopped intensely working on my Instagram account, I have officially put all of my focus on growing Domestically Blissful’s Facebook. I started with 976 Facebook followers on February 15 & have spent countless hours connecting with new bloggers & readers who are becoming quick friends & a few whom I might dare say could be kindred spirits!
I am so excited about telling you how I have connected with all of my new friends & grown my Facebook account organically, but I think I will wait & share with you all of the details in a special post on April 15th. So stay tuned & stay connected!
Now onto March’s Traffic and Income Report!
Traffic Report
It’s been a few months since I have had page views this low, but I’m not complaining. I know that what I put into my blog will directly effect what comes out of it & since my focus has been on growing & connecting in other areas I won’t be too saddened by these traffic statistics.
I am however happy to see that my Domestically Blissful’s Facebook page has moved up to spots 9 & 10 in referrals!
Although part of me can’t wait to see something new as the number 1 page visited on my site, I still can’t help but fear that when that day comes it will be because we are in the middle of a hot summer & not because a new post has outshone the Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup recipe.
Income Report
I am again surprised to find that even though my views went down significantly, due to my low number of posts last month, Gourmet Ads continues to surprise me & surpass my expectations!
Income:
Gourmet Ads: $124.78
Amazon Affiliate Program: $3.00
Chitika: $2.17
Total: $129.95

Love your blog so much. WOW I am so impressed with those pageviews! Can I ask you how long you have been blogging and what’s your secret?
Thanks Chelsea! I have been blogging for almost 2 years (I purchased the domain in May, but didn’t officially start blogging until August 2013). I’m not really sure if I have any secrets, I have tried to stay pretty open about my blogging journey. I have even wrote several articles on blogging in the past & a few more recent ones (Here’s a link to the articles: https://domesticallyblissful.com/category/confessions/blogging-confessions/). I love turning questions I get in messages & comments into posts so if you have anything specific in mind I’d love to help! 🙂
What a great post! Thank you so much for being open and not guarding your stats like a mama bear 🙂
Thanks Mrs K! It’s not always easy to share – especially when there is no growth – but I want to be as open & honest as possible 🙂
I can’t wait to hear how you grew your fb page so much! I have also set a goal for myself to really focus on my social media counts.
Thanks Amanda! I shared the post yesterday, I hope you get a chance to check it out 🙂
Wow!!! I’m impressed as to your Facebook growth – especially organically! Mine is growing slowly. A couple a week most of the time. That’s awesome and I’m looking forward to reading the post. 🙂
Thanks Deanna! I must admit I am pretty surprised too! I just shared my facebook post yesterday, if you are interested 🙂
I really appreciate the courageous bloggers who post this on their sites. It’s so helpful to how everyone is earning an income in relation to the traffic that they get each month. I noticed that there is no sponsored content. Do you shy away from that? That’s my biggest form of income. Thank you for posting!
Thanks Jessica! I actually don’t know much about sponsored content. Have any tips or advice?
Enjoyed reading your income and traffic report! Very helpful for a newer blogger like myself – looking forward to your post about increasing Facebook followers! That’s on my list of things to work on too. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks Kendra! I just shared my post about my facebook journey yesterday, if you are interested 🙂
