Happy November!
This month has gone by so fast & has had so many twists & turns for us, including the National Dental Board Exams, a trip to the beach, & several Christmasy things.
I expect that November is going to be an even more wonderful month!!
A Peak Into My iPhone Photos
At the beginning of the month I spent some time relaxing, drinking hot chocolate, & coloring.
Roger & I then tried to do a little painting together… That was a fail. But a few days later I bought watercolor paints & I think I’m slightly better at that.
I have a tendency to be horrible at making tiny decisions. Like which stick I should use for the Chocolate Caramel Marshmallows. See which one was chosen here.
After Roger took the National Dental Board Exams we headed down to Florida for fall break. And last night we received the exciting news in the mail. He passed!
While we were in Florida I had promised Roger to play football with him on the beach whenever he wanted. But on our last day I was just too tired, so I offered to let him burry me in lieu of football.
After fall break we took a special trip to Hobby Lobby together to look at all of the pretty Christmas decorations & I fell in love with this pretty angel.
Reading Goals & Life Lately
Well, as I mentioned last time, I read The Hunger Games & Catching Fire
at the beginning of October. I am almost done reading Mockingjay
to Roger, but I caught a cough & reading out loud has proven difficult.
I’m hoping that if I get a new computer I will be able to spend a little more time reading without having it affect my blog.
Sound funny?
If you follow me on Facebook than you know my computer is on it’s last leg. It is so slow it takes forever to get a single thing accomplished. So hopefully if/when I do get a new one I will be able to get things done quicker & have more time for other things. Although, truth be told, I’ll probably just do more blogging things that I couldn’t do before.
September Blog Goals, Accomplisments, & October Goals
Facebook: Goal: 5,000 -> Reality: 4,713
+ November Goal: 5,000
+ As I mentioned last time, my goal for October was very far fetched. But that’s ok. Even after losing a bunch of followers the 4 times I shared my Halloween post, I still managed to gain over 100 new followers this month. I guess my real goal is to reach 5,000 by the end of the year, but I am still (secretly) hoping that I can reach it by the end of November.
Instagram: Goal: 2,850 -> Reality: 2,727
+ November Goal: 2,850
+ HA! After reading a bunch of bloggers talk about their recent Instagram issues I have discovered that I am not the only one stuck in a rut. Although if you look at the numbers it looks like I am digging myself deeper because I lost some followers, but this could also be a result of my Halloween post.
Pinterest: Goal: 2,500 -> Reality: 2,313
+ November Goal: 3,000
+ I didn’t quite make my goal. But again I was shooting pretty high, especially when you consider how I have only been working on Pinterest the last few months. And it wasn’t until last month that I really started to to come up with techniques that work for me. Even though I didn’t reach my goal I gained almost 700 new followers on Pinterest last month, so I can’t complain.
Twitter: Goal: 750 -> Reality: 763
+ November Goal: 800
+ This was an ironic surprise! The social media platform I use the least was the only one that reached it’s goal. Granted the goal was tiny compared to the others… But still, it was a nice surprise!
Page Views: Goal 150,000 -> Reality: 209,293
+ October Goal: 150,000
+ I had hoped the spike in views last month was not going to disappear as quickly as they had come, but I did see them go lower than 5,000 4 or 5 times. However I noticed that this occurred the closer we got to Halloween. And since I only have that one post about Halloween, I hoped that my views would go back up after the hype of the holiday had died down.
And (praise God) over the last few days I have seen my views return to the high I have become a little too accustomed too. So hopefully if I keep working like I have been this will become the new norm. And while my page views were higher than last months, I believe that 150,000 page views is a good goal for this month.

I cannot believe you would lose followers over your Halloween post. Thats frustrating!
Ya, it is a bit frustrating… But I want to be honest about my faith. 🙂
