I love making paper pinwheels because they are so easy and so much fun to make! Before my wedding, I made an abundance of these pinwheels to place on tables, wreaths, and mason jars. They take very little time to make and can be any size – depending on the size of the paper you use.
All you need:
Something square (I just cut the shape of a square out of a piece of cardboard – anything will work)
Pencil or pen
Hot glue gun (and glue)
First, using the pencil outline the square cardboard on the piece of paper. – The outline does not have to be perfect.
Next, use the scissors to cut out the square and cut from each corner to the center of the square. *** Make sure you do not accidently cut too close to the center or else you might end up with 4 small triangles.
Put a small dot of glue in the center of the square and place the top left corner and the right side top corner on the glue.
Then place another small dot of glue on top of the already glued down corners and place the bottom right corner and the left side bottom corner onto the glue.
Finally, add another glue dot in the center and firmly place the button onto the pinwheel.
It’s as easy as that! Now you get to have fun figuring out where you want to place all of your beautiful paper pinwheels!
One fun way to use your paper pinwheels is to attach it to a hair clip with hot glue! To learn about other ways to use your paper pinwheels check out these 8 Uses for Paper Pinwheels.
