This Patriotic Fruit Caprese is a fun way to enjoy your favorite summer fruit and mini mozzarella balls on the 4th of July.

Independence day is coming up and as I was planning my recipes for June I decided I wanted to create a fun and unique 4th of July recipe.
Since I love Caprese I decided to start there, but I wasn’t sure what to do to make it unique.
Mozzarella balls were pretty much a given for the white, but I wanted to do something other than cherry tomatoes for the red.
As I started to brainstorm ideas I thought it would be fun to create a red, white, and blue fruit Caprese!
You can totally use strawberries instead of watermelon, but I loved the idea of keeping the fruit all in a similar round shape.
And even though this recipe is barely a recipe, as it’s only 3 ingredients, it is the most delicious flavor combination.
I already love cheese and fruit together, but soft mozzarella mixed with fresh seasonal summer fruit is just beyond perfect.
Especially for 4th of July!
