Powder Room Reveal of the half bathroom next to our side entry.

I’m so excited to be sharing with you the second room tour of our new house!
I shared our master bathroom reveal last fall and then became so busy decorating for the various holidays that I decided to hold off on sharing any more room tours until this year.
My hope/goal is to finish decorating one space every month this year (until we get to the holiday season again) and near the end of each month, I plan to share the reveal.
And I didn’t realize until this moment that the only two rooms that I have finished decorating are both bathrooms…
What can I say, they were the easiest, least expensive, and quickest rooms to complete!
Next up, the kitchen!

But before I speed away to finish decorating the kitchen (which luckily doesn’t need too much more), I want to share a few of the little details that I added to this space.
I love having candles burning in a half bathroom when we have parties and small gatherings.
And while the fragrance of just one small candle fills both this space and lingers down the hallway to the kitchen, I decided to add two as I felt this space need a pop of pink.
Plus I love to group things in sets of 3!
I considered adding a little powder room rug to this space, but in the end, I decided to skip it.
With all of our little nieces and nephews and the hope that we will be adopting soon, I didn’t want any little feet tripping over a rug.
Plus, that’s just one more item to regularly wash/move when cleaning the floors.
You could call me lazy, but honestly, I think I’m being pretty smart by planning ahead!

I wasn’t sure if I should share this or not, but I was pretty determined to have flush toilets for the two most used bathrooms in our house.
Getting down on your hands and knees to clean a toilet is never fun, especially when it’s one in a water closet (master bathroom) or one that is used by guests.
I don’t care too much about soft close toilet seats, lighted seats, automatic toilets, etc., but what I really care about is the added ease of cleaning a flush toilet.
And now I realize that I’m about to end this post by talking about cleaning toilets…
So let’s have a quick change of subject!
Roger and I are trying to do better at hanging things on the walls in this house since we really didn’t hang much in our last 3 homes.
And in an effort to make the most of the photos we take on trips (outside of their main purpose for my blog) we are starting to print them to hang in our house.
Our master bathroom has a picture from our trip to Ireland a couple of years ago and now our half bathroom has a photo from our most recent trip to Paris.
Aren’t photos that you’ve taken and printed some of the best souvenirs?
