I am really happy to work with our sponsor, Château Élan, today to share the beauty of their resort with you!
5 reasons why you need a weekend getaway to a little piece of France in North Georgia at Château Élan.
Last month Roger & I celebrated our 6th anniversary at the Chateau Élan in North Georgia.
And while 6 years may be an odd (even) number to celebrate, I believe every year should be celebrated well, not just your 5th, 10th, 15th, etc.
So we decided to get away from the normalcies of life & visit a place that’s been on my bucket list for a little while now.
I know you may be thinking, “Giusti, I know you don’t drink alcohol why would you go to a winery?”
But believe me, when I say, Château Élan is way more than just a winery, it is a resort that brings a little piece of France to North Georgia.
Since Roger & I have been missing Paris like crazy recently, we couldn’t wait to stay at the Inn at Château Élan.
And once we returned from this relaxing getaway I couldn’t wait to compile my favorite photos & share with you 5 reasons why you will love Château Élan & why you should make it your next weekend getaway!
1. The Atmosphere
While driving into Château Élan for the first time I instantly knew we were bound for a fun & enjoyable getaway.
We passed row after row of grape vines blowing gently in the wind as we drove past the winery towards the Inn.
All the rain we’ve been enjoying has greatly enhanced the already gorgeous vineyard & grounds into a luscious landscape which make it hard to remember that you are on the outskirts of Atlanta.
Elegance & beauty are everywhere you look & every attention to detail has been made in order for your stay to be fully enjoyed.
The staff were all so courteous & helpful & as I was taking pictures someone even offered to take a few of us to remember our stay!
And since more often than not I use a table, couch, or even rocks (along with self-timer) to take photos of the two of us, it was so very wonderful to have one of the staff offer to snap a few photos of the two of us together.
2. The Food
Food is always one of the of the first things Roger & I research while planning any trip & we couldn’t wait to taste all of the delicious treats that Château Élan has to offer.
And of course, the best way to start off any foodie trip is with a 2-hour dinner of relaxing, tasting, savoring, & enjoying.
From a light fresh squash soup & gourmet cheese plate appetizer (with the most amazing local honeycomb) to the beet and goat cheese salad, to creme brulee we enjoyed a feast even Marie Antoinette would enjoy!
And the next morning we brunched at Versailles & savored a delicious buffet, my favorite being the fruit, made-to-order omelet, hot chocolate, & croissant (these croissants were the closest I have had to the French croissant’s we ate in Paris).
You can see even more of the delectable food varieties in this video, from the beautiful view from our table at Marc, to the omelet station at Versailles.
3. The Accommodations
From the Inn to the Spa Suites, to the Golf Suites there are a variety of accommodations to choose from when planning a getaway to Château Élan.
We stayed in the Inn & our room was beautifully fitted with a king bed & tasteful furniture.
The lavish bathroom even had a separate oversized tub that we thoroughly enjoyed.
We’ve been spending quite a bit of time looking at a variety of tubs online recently for the house we are building while trying to figure out what is the right depth for our tub.
And luckily I carry a mini measuring tape in my purse at all times because we loved the depth of their tub & had to measure it to ensure we purchase a similar sized one for our house this year.
We have found so much inspiration for our new house through our travels this year & Château Élan is no exception.
Be sure to take a peek at the room by watching this little video or by clicking here.
There is just so much to love!
4.The Relaxation
We experienced quite a bit of relaxation during our stay at Château Élan.
Between the comfortable bed, numerous sitting areas around the grounds & in the Inn, along with the resort style pool we couldn’t help but feel relaxed wherever we went.
We passed many couples & groups of people throughout our stay chatting & relaxing on the elegant & comfortable sitting areas throughout the Inn.
Roger & I especially enjoyed the pool in the early afternoon.
We even took a dip in the hot tub (yes even in this heat!) because we wanted to experience the beautiful rock waterfall that cascaded down into the hot tub.
5. The Property
Château Élan is perfectly nestled on an expansive 3,500-acre estate.
So while I wish I could say we explored it all, there is just too much to see!
Luckily, that means that you can keep going back year after year for more weekend getaways & to explore even more of the property each time you visit!
And while we visited in the high humid heat of the summer I hope we get a chance to visit again soon in the fall or spring in order to explore more of their forests & trails through quiet walks & adventurous bike rides.
Although this time we were not able to explore deeper into the woods or down any trails, we did spend quite a bit of time admiring & wandering through the gorgeous grape vineyards that are in the early stages of producing beautiful bunches of grapes.
Honestly, I could have spent all day wandering up & down the vineyard enjoying the cool breeze & listening to the wind as it danced amongst the grape leaves.
It felt like something out of a fairytale!
Between the relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, luxurious accommodations, & gorgeous property, we found much pleasure during our stay at Château Élan!
I hope you get a chance very soon to enjoy everything that Château Élan has to offer!
And I look forward to hearing about your wonderful stay at this beautiful little piece of France at Château Élan.
