Today is the day I finally share this Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices recipe with you!
Although I’m not sure how much of a recipe it is since it’s only 3 ingredients… But who cares! It’s bright, colorful, & delicious!
I had originally planned on sharing these Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices 2 or 3 summers ago when we still lived in Birmingham. I remember making them & planning to share them with you, but it never happened!
Somehow I need to get out of this rut. And quick!
I have over 75 posts in my drafts that have never been published. Crazy, right?
And as I was going through them I discovered a fall recipe post that is completely written & just missing the pictures! Now I’ve got to back into my planner & find a place to add it!
But back to why it is a good thing I waited to share this post. While I still have a lot to learn about photography, specifically food photography, I have learned a lot since I first started blogging. I know that if I had shared this post a few years back I probably would have been embarrassed by the photos by now.
Even still, I’m super sorry it took me so long to share this post with you!
Because every chocoholic watermelon lover is going to LOVE these Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices.
And I made them 3 ways!
Yes, a 3 ingredient recipe that you can make 3 ways!
The first way is simply sliced, dipped, & sprinkled.
The second is sliced, froze, dipped, & sprinkled.
And the third is a watermelon bowl for the ends of the watermelon because no one wants to waste watermelon!

But before I start filling my Pinterest boards with lots of new fall ideas for your home & kitchen let me share with you this crazy easy recipe for Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices!
- Watermelon Slices
- Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Sea Salt
- First, pat down your watermelon slices with a dry cloth or paper towel to remove excess watermelon liquid. *(1-2)
- Next, melt the dark chocolate melting wafers according to their packaging instructions.
- Dip the watermelon slices in the dark chocolate, place it on a baking sheet lined with wax paper, & sprinkle with sea salt.
- Continue this process until you have created as many Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices as desired.
- Let the chocolate harden & enjoy!
- *1. You can add popsicle sticks at this time if desired.
- *2. For Frozen Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Watermelon Slices place the watermelon slices on a plate or baking sheet in your freezer for 2-3 hours or until frozen. Then proceed with the next steps.
