Snowy weather layers outfit inspiration while in West Virginia.
I’m officially obsessed with snow.
A few months ago Roger & I were having a hard time deciding between sand & sun or snow & mountains.
But we had been discussing a snowboarding trip for a couple of years now & what better time to go than in January!
So a couple of months ago we officially decided to find a snowy wonderland for our January travels.
After work on Thursday, we drove about 6 of the 7 & 1/2 hours up to West Virginia.
Around hour 5 we started to see little white fluffs floating down from the night sky.
I was so excited!
But when I took a video to share my excitement on Instagram Stories you could barely see anything.
We were a couple of hours away from our destination & we started to wonder just how much snow there would be once we reached the resort.
The whole place was a gorgeous winter wonderland.
We arrived to blue skies & were able to enjoy some sunny snow adventures before the snow began to fall again.
Since snow isn’t something that regularly falls in southeast Tennessee, I was fully enamored by the gorgeous big flakes that fell upon my hair & eyelashes.
And of course, Roger couldn’t help but throw a few snowballs at me.
Everywhere I turned I saw another gorgeous tree.
If you can’t tell from the first picture above, I have a bit of a funny love for trees.
And these trees were full of magic!
I felt like I was in Narnia in the picture above.
Unfortunately, the Morning Lavender sweater I am wearing in this picture is no longer available, but they have a bunch of gorgeous new sweaters this season!
Also, the dress is a few seasons old from Francesca’s, but here is a similar one that I found on their site.
The Black Diamond jacket in the second image is also a few years old, but they have a bunch of cute options available right now.
As you can see, & my sister pointed out to me, I’m kind of obsessed with cropped sweaters over dresses right now.
But they make great winter resort outfits!
Between a tank top, long-sleeved dress, & a thick sweater, the warmth is perfect for someone like me who runs cold.
I also had on thick fleece lined leggings that were extra cozy for wandering about the resort shops & restaurants.
Our whole weekend was one big snowy wonderland experience!
And I can’t wait to share more with you about the resort we stayed at while in West Virginia.
I have another blog post about our snowy winter wonderland adventure coming this Tuesday, so if you enjoyed this post be sure to subscribe to my newsletter below so that you don’t miss out on another blissful moment!

Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure,
“children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
