I can’t wait to make these Christmas Whipped Cream I can’t wait to make these Christmas Whipped Cream Hot Chocolate Toppers again this year with both of my littles! 💌Comment “Marshmallow” to get the details & recipe in your DM.

Yesterday, temps reached 92, but cool weather is forecasted for the weekend, along with these fun Christmas hot chocolate treats!

I wish I were an artist, but my gingerbread man looked so funny, so I stuck to drawing only snowflakes while Roger drew the Christmas trees and snowman faces.

While this is a VERY EASY food craft, I will admit I made it twice because I wasn’t prepared for how fast the whipped cream melted!

So I learned a few tricks along the way to help you when you make them this Christmas season.

First, freeze your muffin pan before you start so it’s super chilled when you add the whipped cream.

The second tip is to draw on your marshmallows before you remove the cupcake pan from the freezer and pipe in the whipped cream.

Along those lines, make sure your Christmas sprinkles, chocolate chips, and Christmas candy decorations are open and ready to sprinkle on top before you begin, as you will need to assemble them quickly if your home is warm.

I plan to make a whole pan and then save them in a freezer bag for us to enjoy through the holiday season!

ps. If you are looking for a homemade version, I have a blog post on Frozen Whipped Cream Hearts for hot chocolate, plus a homemade whipped cream recipe you will love.
Roger was shocked at how well this worked! 💌 Comme Roger was shocked at how well this worked! 💌 Comment “Candy Cane” to get the details & recipe tutorial in your DM.

And honestly, I was a bit too!

I remember these balloon ice cream bowls being popular online around a decade ago, and when I started to see them pop up again this year, I thought I’d give it a go and try a few different techniques to see what worked best.

Several years ago, I spent hours and hours (and hours and hours and hours) researching the best biodegradable balloons on the market, and the ones I found then are still my go-to today.

The balloons I used are made from 100% natural latex (not plastic). They are biodegradable and compostable in 6 weeks and are made with food-grade ink. Oh, and the bags that they came in are compostable too, as they are made from 100% corn starch.

With Christmas season upon us, I thought I’d go with a red-and-white candy-cane-striped ice cream bowl.

I tried a few different things and learned a lot along the way.
What amazed us both was how well it held up the ice cream.

We thought it would break easily under the weight of the 3 scoops of ice cream and all 4 of us digging into it, but it held up well and is now a special Christmas memory. The first of the season!

But don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging on what I learned and the different things I tried. I’ve got all the extra details on my blog post tutorial!

Twelve years ago (way back in 2014), I made a gree Twelve years ago (way back in 2014), I made a green string Christmas tree. 💌Comment “YARN” for details & tutorial in your DM.

Since then, we have moved a handful of times, and somewhere along the way, it disappeared.

So I decided to remake it with some gorgeous hunter-green yarn that I knew would look so pretty for a DIY Hollow Yarn Christmas Tree.

And it turned out beautifully!

Although I wish I had left a few more gaps so you could see the twinkle lights better.

I love pearls at Christmastime, so I added them as ornaments on this hollow Christmas tree along with a pearl star on top.

I can’t wait to decorate our home with it this Christmas season!
💌Comment “yarn” to get all the details & the tutorial in your DM.

P.S. You can use less yarn and leave more gaps between the yarn when making yours so that you can see more twinkle lights shining out from the inside, or you can wrap the fairy lights around the outside instead. I added them to the inside since it is a hollow Christmas tree. But my first one from 10 years ago had a lot more gaps for the light to shine through. Merry Christmas!

We are vegetarians, so I’ve never tasted a real turkey, but I do love chocolate-dipped strawberries, so this was a major win for my chocolate-loving taste buds.

Plus, they are so fun to make and eat!

And since they are so small, you can still have apple pie, pumpkin pie, or my favorite Streusel Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars.

At the end of my video tutorial, you can see the one little Roger Dale (age 4) made that’s currently hanging on our fridge.

I drew the tree, and he cut the leaves with the large leaf stamp and glued the leaves to the paper.

We had so much fun making our real leaf fall tree art together, and I hope you have fun making yours too!

ps. I made this over a month ago, and the colors on the leaves are still just as beautiful as the day I made it!

These Caramel Apple Clusters have 2 layers of caramel and dark chocolate, plus toppings and a sprinkle of flaky salt.

I should mention that there is a lot of caramel in this recipe, and caramel is known to be sticky.

So they are a bit messy, but honestly, I love messy food!

And what makes these Caramel Apple Clusters even better is the dark chocolate!

This fall sweet treat will have you licking your fingers and looking for more!

How fun is this Giant Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll! How fun is this Giant Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll!? 💌Comment “PUMPKIN” to get the recipe & details in your DM.

I turned regular store-bought cinnamon rolls into one massive pumpkin-spice cinnamon roll with homemade cream cheese frosting.

But this doesn’t just look like a giant pumpkin cinnamon roll, oh no!

This one is filled with pure pumpkin and pumpkin spice flavor, and I even added pumpkin spice creamer on top before baking.

For the homemade cream cheese frosting, I started with red & yellow, no-artificial-dye food coloring, but when I ran out of the yellow, I added some orange gel food coloring.

And to make it look even more like a pumpkin, I added sparkly pearl sprinkles to outline the giant pumpkin.

Do you like adding sprinkles on top of cinnamon rolls, or do you prefer keeping it simple with frosting?

ps. I typically prefer keeping it simple, but I couldn’t resist the glittery fall sprinkles!

I had a fun idea to turn our front porch into a co I had a fun idea to turn our front porch into a cozy space that looked like it could be in Stars Hollow. 🍂💌Comment “Stars Hollow” to get all of the details in your DM.

For the last several months, I had gone back and forth about decorating our front porch for fall beyond the simple wreaths on our doors, and until this last week, I wasn’t sure I was actually going to do it.

If we are going to be technical, I only decorated a little over half of our porch for fall, our front doors and the right side of our porch where this bed swing hangs.

And honestly, I’m not sure how long I will keep all the fall decor out there.

The pillows have already been switched around multiple times since I decorated our bed swing; you can even see the pillows change in the nighttime video clips.

Our front porch gets a lot of wind, which has even blown some outdoor furniture off of it during bad storms.

So I’m waiting to see how long I can keep the foam pumpkins out here before they get blown away, and once that happens, I will probably pack them up, because my thoughts may or may not be already drifting toward decorating this space for the next holiday season.

The twinkle lights that I added to the fall garlands are really making me dream of what comes next.

But for now, I’m really enjoying how this space turned out for fall.

Well, actually, I’m completely obsessed with it, especially now that it’s finally starting to cool off a bit and we can start spending more time outside again.

And I’m really hoping to sneak a nap out here this weekend!

So many people thought this DIY Fall Leaf Candle H So many people thought this DIY Fall Leaf Candle Holder made with faux leaves was way too delicate and would snap in no time, but not only has this held up for 3 years, but it has also survived two full house moves! 🍂💌Comment “LEAF” to get the the tutorial & extra details in your DM.

I am still completely in love with the moody colors of these leaves that make them look real. Honestly, I am so ready for the weather to finally cool down so the outdoors can match my fall spirit.

To be completely honest, I wasn’t totally sure this fall craft would actually work, and I definitely had my doubts along the way.

Since leaf bowls have been a classic DIY project for years, I originally figured, how hard could it possibly be?

While the concept itself is simple, I definitely struggled with believing it would turn out right.

I quickly discovered that the more leaves I layered on, the more slippery they got, and a few kept trying to slide right off the balloon.

After a quick round of trial and error, I realized the secret is to add the leaves in stages, in different layers, letting it dry in between. This made it so much easier to make!

As tempting as it was to just pop the balloon at the end, I decided against it since the dried leaves were glued directly to it (and popping it could make the whole leaf bowl collapse).

So instead, I just let the air out slowly, gently peeling the leaf bowl away from the deflated balloon as it shrank.

Originally, my plan was just to place a single flameless candle inside, but once it was all finished, I knew it needed something more.

So I added some twinkling lights and tiny faux leaves around the base for an extra layer of cozy autumn ambiance that looks magical at night.

Do you prefer natural-looking autumn decor, or do you prefer to keep things bright and traditional for fall?
