A little Valentine’s Day decor home tour with quick tips on how to easily decorate your home with love.
I know, I know.
I must have gone crazy.
Somehow I never got around to sharing a Christmas home tour, but here I am sharing a Valentine’s Day home tour.
Maybe it’s because our house feels empty without all of the Christmas decor, or maybe I just wanted an excuse to decorate our house with lots of shades of pink.
Either way, I had a lot of fun adding hints of pink here & there around our house for this photoshoot.
And since Valentine’s decor is not something a lot of people pull out & put up I thought I would share some simple tips to help you find fun new ways to decorate your home for Valentine’s Day.
One thing I like to do is to pull out anything & everything pink, red, white, & gold. Then I try to find strategic places here & there throughout our home to place the items so that the color scheme is found everywhere.
I like adding gold & white as a base or filler color because it helps to keep the red & pink from becoming overwhelming. Plus you probably have some Christmas decor that is white, gold, & red that you can pull back out to double as Valentine’s decor.
As you rummage through your attic, pantry, & closets you may be surprised by what you find!
Just as you may use some of last season’s Christmas decor, you may also want to look forward to the next season, spring! I used pink flowers to create this Embroidery Hop Valentine’s Wreath with the intention that it can be used both as Valentine’s decor & spring decor!
You can check out the tutorial to create your own embroidery hoop wreath here.
Speaking of flowers… Fresh flowers (or even faux flowers) is a simple way to add pink & red decor to your home.
I hope you enjoyed this mini little Valentine’s home tour!
Oh & if that’s not exciting enough, I also have a new recipe for Nutella Cheesecake Strawberry Bites!
