I was so excited when I saw Taco Bell’s new Crunchwrap Sliders! As a vegetarian I was sad to see there were no vegetarian options, but that’s an easy fix! So a few days before Christmas Roger & I stopped by Taco Bell for a snack & I asked for the BLT Crunchwrap Slider minus the meat/bacon & substitute beans. I was so excited when I unwrapped the paper & took a bite – I saw beans! – but then I took a closer look & noticed the beans looked a little more lumpy than usual. My heart sunk. There was bacon.
The next time I attempted the BLT Crunchwrap Slider was at a Taco Bell that was use to substituting meat for beans – I love that my hometown is filled with vegetarians! But instead of substituting the beans they added beans which is an additional $0.60 – which is almost the cost of a whole can of beans! Needless to say I was sad again, because even though it tasted so good I couldn’t justify it in my head or my belly.
So I decided to make my own & share the yummy vegetarian results with you!
Ingredients:
Tortilla Wraps – I used smaller ones like they do at Taco Bell
Fritos
Lettuce
Tomatos
Creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce – Click for homemade recipe
First, wash & cut the lettuce & tomato. Then layer the Fritos, lettuce, tomato, & Bac’n Bits, in a tortilla wrap & drizzle the Creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce on top. Fold the tortilla up & grill your Vegetarian BLT Crunchwrap Slider in your panini maker or on a frying pan.
Once golden brown on both sides, let cool, & enjoy!
